673rd Medical Group (Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson)
The 673rd Medical Group (673 MDG) at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson (JBER) is a 65-bed military treatment facility that provides comprehensive healthcare services to approximately 159,000 Department of Defense (DoD) and Veterans Affairs (VA) beneficiaries. Established on June 24, 2010, it operates as a joint venture between the U.S. Air Force and the VA, making it a primary referral center for Alaska. The facility features eight operating rooms and has the capability to expand to 150 beds in response to mission needs, including a 100-bed En Route Patient Staging System. Other squadrons manage operational readiness, dental services for active-duty personnel, inpatient operations, and comprehensive support services like pharmacy, laboratory, and TRICARE operations.
