A Chance To Grow, Inc. (ACTG) is a non-profit organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, founded in 1983 by Bob and Kathy DeBoer after their daughter was born with a significant brain injury. Dissatisfied with the available resources, they sought out innovative, brain-centered programs to help children and adults reach their full potential. The organization operates on the principle of providing a holistic and integrated approach to therapy and education. What began at a kitchen table has grown into a comprehensive center offering a wide array of services under one roof at their current location established in 1998. A Chance To Grow is dedicated to serving individuals with a variety of needs, including developmental delays, learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, traumatic brain injury, and other physical, mental, behavioral, and emotional challenges. Their services are categorized into several key areas: Clinical Services (including occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, and audiology), Home-Based/PCA Services, Educational Services through the Minnesota Learning Resource Center, and the Turnquist Child Enrichment Center. This multi-faceted approach allows them to create individualized programs that address the unique needs of each client. They serve a wide area, encompassing 11 counties in the Twin Cities metropolitan area.
